We have designed our Bed & Breakfast from the ground up to be barrier-free for our guests. Our Rose Garden Suite features an accessible bedroom and bathroom, and our Dining Room, Parlour, and front entrance are all designed to be barrier-free. Specific accessibility features are listed below. If you have questions or would like more information, please contact us.

Accessibility features at the front yard and entrance:
- The parking area is smoothly paved and has ample room for two wheelchair vans.
- A wide entrance ramp leads up from the parking to the front door and covered porch.
- A paved, shaded sitting area in the front garden is accessible from the foot of the entrance ramp.
- The front door uses a touch-sensitive keypad lock, and the lever-action knob is easy to turn.
Accessibility features within the Rose Garden Suite:
- The bedroom door has 35 inches (88cm) of clearance, and is equipped with a delayed-action closer and lever handles for easy use.
- Touch-sensitive lamps are located beside each bed.
- The door to the en suite bath is an easy-sliding pocket door with 35 inches (88cm) of clearance.
- Sturdy grab bars are located in the toilet area and both outside and inside the shower.
- The shower stall is equipped with a seat. The entry has a ¾-inch (2cm) lip at the bottom. (We have had manual chairs inside the stall before, for those who found transfer easier that way). Chairs and scooters can be rolled very close to the shower seat.
- The shower controls are large and easy to operate. The shower head can be raised and lowered, aimed, or removed for a hand-held shower. Bath gel and shampoo are provided in push-button dispensers.
- The bathroom counter is spacious and has ample clearance underneath. The taps are lever-operated for easy use, and the spout is elevated so reaching underneath is easy when seated.
- In general, the suite has ample space for motorized wheelchairs and scooters, and there are extra outlets in convenient locations for recharging.
In addition to these room features, we would be happy to do anything else we can to accommodate you during your stay. Please do not hesitate to ask us.

As a result of our efforts, we were awarded a 2004 Award of Merit for Barrier-Free Design and a 2004 Breaking the Barriers Award from the Ontario March of Dimes. When you visit, please share your ideas to help us make The Cobbled Path an enjoyable and barrier-free stay for everyone.
